More user-friendly temporary delegations
Business case:
Not user-friendly working with temporary delegations if you are working for more than one company
- You get thrown out once saved and have to re-enter once again; if you have a lot of companies the game can be annoying
- You do not see the entered values so far – you need to select company to company to be sure, that you have set it for all – risk to miss one company
Of course he/she might create afterwards a report in advanced search, but I do not think that an ordinary user (manager) has time/feel like going for such an extra step. If they are asked to set their absences they want to go to a menu and set it once for all in few minutes.
Current behavior:
Only one company at the time and you're "thrown out" from the menu after settings are applied.
Expected behavior:
The best thing is
1. that once saved the row with the specifications (in this menu: <company>,<start date>,<end date>,<replace> is added in a list after saving; the user stays in the menu unless finished and sees the list with his/her results.
2. If he/she re-enters the settings he/she sees the list with the settings and can add/remove easily the settings for maintenance purposes.
This is how you can keep track of your settings, otherwise you lose control with the risk, that something is not set. And this will give discussions (in particular if we use a move forward function of invoices in approval workflow)

Need to come back to this original request based on user feedback (not happy with the little user-friendliness).
We have implemented now 45 companies (others to come) and for assignment of invoices (and thus for delegation) we use the dimension 2 (cost center), for which in a lot of cases a regional or company related ownership exists. If a user needs now to set on each company level an individual delegate it can be time consuming activity and he/she hardly has an overview with that user mask, what he/she has set/finished now or not. It might come to omissions.
It would be really very helpful and reduce time/increase efficiency in a multi company scenario, if there is a selection menu, where you can e.g. group or tick on the companies and assign the corresponding delegate to them all without having the necessity to select each single company and add owner and save and start once again …. – and see result in an overview, so that you know, what you have set/not set.
Please check, what could be done to improve the temporary delegation menu for users.
